Support For Parents & Families
At Smarden Primary and Nursery School, we are fully committed to supporting parents and families in order to keep children safe. We know that parenting can be hard at times and there are circumstances where you may feel you need some extra help. Please see some information pages below for additional support that you can access.
PANTS - NSPCC Advice for Parents
The NSPCC have a really useful website called 'Talk Pants.' This site teaches children important messages, like their body belongs to them and they should tell an adult if they're upset or worried. There are activities for children and also advice for parents.

Domestic Violence - Information and Reporting
Operation Encompass is a unique Police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools before the start of the next school day when a child or young person has been involved or exposed to a domestic abuse incident the previous evening.
The information is given in strict confidence to a school’s Key Adult to enable support to be given dependent on the needs and wishes of the child.
Smarden Primary and Nursery School is proud to be part of the Operation Encompass intervention.
